Indeed. It's another shameless Calvin Harris blog, and I'm praising his work again. But, it's perfectly allowed. Why? Because "Ready for the Weekend" is out today, in Ireland, anyway.
If you've not heard all the tracks, you can do so by popping down to his website and signing up to the mailing list, which grants you access to stream the album in full. Ace.
The tracklist is as follows, for those of you who don't know:
1. The Rain
2. Ready For The Weekend
3. Stars Come Out
4. You Used To Hold Me
5. Blue
6. I'm Not Alone
7. Flashback
8. Worst Day - Calvin Harris & Izza Kizza
9. Relax
10. Limits
11. Burns Night
12. Yeah Yeah Yeah La La La
13. Dance Wiv Me
14. 5iliconeator
No doubt you've heard "Ready for the Weekend", "Dance Wiv Me" and "I'm Not Alone", or even the track "Yeah Yeah Yeah La La La", which is featured on the new Coca-Cola advert. But, the record doesn't stop there, and holds substance throughout, despite what Alexis Petridis in the Guardian may think.
I've always enjoyed The Guardian, and find it better than most newspapers (not to mention my connection with them, or the allegiance which many people don't know about), but on a side note, this review wasn't the greatest, and didn't tell the story fully. Just search any other review and it's different. Shocking, Alexis.
But, back to "Ready for the Weekend", check it out. It's that blast of summer pop and electro that you need to wash away those blues. Mr. Harris, well done.
Shameless plug, over and out.
"Ready for the Weekend" is out now in Ireland, and elsewhere on August 16.
