I popped out to a Tripod last night for a night on the tiles, especially since it was a Headphone Disco, which usually is good fun, as seen as the summer festivals, such as Oxegen and Electric Picnic, to name but a few. So, yours truly popped down to the venue, and due to the evening being the 'Leaving Certificate Results Night' they were checking photo identification on everyone. Naturally I didn't mind too much, but suddenly became baffled.
The security guard took my ID and glanced at it. Looked up at me again, and focused on the ID again.
"David O'Keeffe", he said.
"Yes...?"
"Dave. (paused for a minute, then looked at me firmly) Any trouble, or messing, and you're out. Seriously. On the street"
"(Taken aback) Absolutely, sure; there will be no hassle, don't worry.", I replied, relatively bemused.
"Seriously, any of your crazy dancing, in it's excitable strangeness, you're out."
It's shocking when the security know you can't dance, and know who you are.
Watch out kids, if you go out too much, they really start to know who you are. And, they criticise your dancing.

Coldplay - Strawberry Swing on MUZU.
The brand new video from 'Strawberry Swing', the blissful track taken off 'Vida la Vida or Death and All his Friends', Coldplay's marvellous album from last year. Superb track, entertaining video.
I must say, I am loving this new release from Paramore, whose new album "Brand New Eyes" is out soon.
The Airborne Toxic Event - Sometime Around Midnight on MUZU.
A lot of people have not heard about 'The Airborne Toxic Event', and they really should. This excellent band are different, and wholly diverse. This song 'Sometime Around Midnight' is deep, moving and truly brilliant. Plus, the video is very good.
