Weeks, days and hours have passed, and now, on this day, the voting for the Sony Ericsson Fanwalk closes closed.

Thousands of votes have been cast since the applications opened some months ago, and finally, after much hype, anticipation and excitement, all the contestants can start to wind down their campaign. Well, slightly.

Last night, I posted my application video, albeit later than hoped. The video was to be different, but the ideas were scrapped when I got the flu a while back. So, this is the video, to the best of the ability of the team helping me in the campaign. It's still pretty ace, if I don't say so myself.

"What's next?" I hear you say. Well, not we must wait for our fate: delivered on October 10th 13th.

At that point, Sony Ericsson and the Fanwalk team will have decided a shortlist of 100 applicants who will head across Germany to the MTV Europe Music Awards. Hopefully, and with your support and votes, I can be in that 100.

To end my post for today, and get my other work done, I ask that you take the time to pop to the Fanwalk website and throw some votes my way celebrate with me. For your pleasure, I'll post a direct voting link here. You can click that link to your hearts content: http://www.fanwalk.tv/en_ie/profile.jsc?id=4288&pro=1

On a serious note, I would like to thank everyone who has supported so far, posted comments, voted and voted again, and in general, got involved in my attempt to be a Fanwalk 2009 member. I really do appreciate it.

Here's to the remaining hours. Cheers!

Update (11.24am, Monday 5th):

I've been successful with my Fanwalk Online Voting campaign, and I've passed through the online public voting with 82% of the votes- the highest in Ireland. Now, the Fanwalk Team will decide which 100 contestants should attend the event, with results to come over the coming days. Thank you sincerely for your strong support and voting.
