Okay, sorry for yet another MTV Europe Music Awards related post, but it has become known that indie pop sensation Marina and the Diamonds has won a gong at this year's awards.

The event isn't actually taking place until November, which I hope to attend, but the regional nominees are slowly being told to the world. Marina was up for an award under the Best UK & Ireland Act. This is the first time she's won the award, in a category up against other music heavyweights like Delphic, Ellie Goulding, Rox, and an artist I had tipped to do well in this nomination, Tinie Tempah.

Congrats to Marina.

The MTV Europe Music Awards 2010 takes place in the Caja Magica in Madrid, Spain, on November 7th. You can watch online on your regional MTV network, schedule dependent.
